Abraxas is more than a mythical golden creature seen in the dusty outer reaches of Burning Man. The Abraxas community is spreading art, dance, volunteering, and putting their necks out for the greater good of dragons and humans alike. Through continuing projects and activations, the core Abraxas Bus and crew support disaster relief deployments, donation drives, join parades, and bring magic to special events all year round.

  • Rapid Response Equipment Needs- Mobile Kitchen deployment 12k

  • Delivery Costs- Truckload Deliveries of crucial supplies 16k

  • Travel and Lodging costs for Response Team and Volunteers 10k

Scale Up our disaster relief capacity! Disaster relief needs are increasing in size, scope, and in more locations

Fundraising Goal: $165,000

  • Partner with Grassroots Aid Partnership to increase giving capacity to $8M in aid and 600,000 Healthy Meals annually

  • Establish year round initiatives and longer rebuilding programs

  • Pioneer climate conscious response models

  • Continue high efficiency organization with under 10% overhead

  • Keep volunteer community engaged and supported year round

  • Expand and strengthen regional grassroots networks for disaster response collaboration
